Elderly Las Vegas Casino Patron Robbed On Christmas Day

Local Las Vegas news sources close to PlaySlots4RealMoney.com reported that a man in his 90’s was beaten and robbed on Christmas Day. The incident took place in the parking garage of an area casino. The actual location in police reports was Sam’s Town on Boulder Highway.

The initial call to police took place at 12:20 p.m. local time to add even more concern to this troubling crime. The Las Vegas policeman reporting this information was Lt. Ken Nogle according to local news. The incident report identified two men in their 20’s as the assailants. They remain at large at this time. It looks like Sams Town Hotel & Gambling Hall are back to business after this Las Vegas crime based on this tweet below.

After accosting the victim, the pair stole his wallet and fled the scene. As of Dec. 26, the investigation continues into the crime.

This was just one of a few disturbing crimes reported around Christmas in the Las Vegas area. The final week of the year started with a robbery at a local Walgreens drug store. This took place in the western Las Vegas Valley on Desert Inn Road. This is close to South Fort Apache Road.

Lt. David Gordan of the Las Vegas police department was in charge of this investigation. He noted:

“The suspect approached the counter and demanded money from the clerk. After obtaining money, the suspect exited the business and was last seen walking in a northerly direction.”

This crime took place around 3 a.m. local time. Robbery detectives also responded to the crime scene. However, the assailant has yet to be identified.

Earlier in the month, a man was accosted and robbed outside a Chick-fil-A. That incident took place on Dec. 18. The call to police came in around 9 p.m. This crime took place in the central Las Vegas Valley. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the incident.

Lt. Brian Boxler reported that the victim was carry a bank bag near the Chick-fil-A near West Sahara Avenue. He was pushed to the ground while the bag was taken. The fall caused a minor head injury. The assailant fled the crime scene on foot.

The victim filled the original report at Convention Center Area Command. This incident is also under investigation.

In other area crime news, two suspects were arrested in conjunction with recent Las Vegas bar robberies. Jack McLaughlin age 42 and Daniela Tito age 38 were arrested on Dec.11. The pair are suspected of robbing three Las Vegas Valley bars. These incidents date back to Nov. 26 as part of a holiday crime spree.

Each suspect has been charged with three counts of robbery with a deadly weapon. Added to the list is the charge of conspiracy to commit robbery. They also face the charge of burglary with a firearm.

The two were held up in a hotel in the 5700 block of Dean Martin Drive. They were apprehended without any incident.

Crime is a way of life in every big city and major metropolitan area. Unfortunately, criminals fail to take a break even when it is the holiday season.
