Beau Rivage South Mississippi Casino Now Allows BetMGM App For Mobile Sports Betting?
South Mississippi bettors can finally enjoy mobile sports betting. However, for now, online wagering will only be available at the premises of the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi. Nevertheless, casino insiders and gamblers hope that this is a step in the right direction and that the full legalization of online betting is not too far away.
On Wednesday morning, the BetMGM app went live inside the Beau Rivage. This means that casino patrons will be able to bet on almost anything once they download the app. The casino uses geofencing technology to make sure that all bets are made inside the establishment and that all gambling is legal.
State legislators are expected to further relax the mobile betting restrictions at their next session in 2022.
Will Disney & ESPN Embrace Online Sports Betting?
The biggest entertainment company in the world may be ready to embrace gambling. Disney, mostly known for family-friendly programming, will likely offer more gambling content, mainly through ESPN. Disney’s CEO, Bob Chapek, revealed that internal research has shown that more betting options will not tarnish the brands of either Disney or ESPN. He noted that gambling is no longer stigmatized as it was 10 or 20 years ago.
Furthermore, the habits and demands of Disney consumers have changed. Increased involvement in the betting industry is now seen as a fantastic opportunity for the company to grow even bigger. We can expect more moves on this matter from Disney pretty soon, which could be a warning signal for other players in the market.
Coinbase Allows Shibu Inu Trading And The Gambling Starts?
The largest cryptocurrency exchange in the US, Coinbase, is now the best-selling app on the Google Play Store. The success of the app and the company behind it have a lot to do with their willingness to take risks.
One of those bold moves was listing the meme token, Shiba Inu, which paid off big for both the marketplace and the cryptocurrency. Shiba Inu, which started off as an Ethereum-based alternative to Dogecoin, is now in the middle of an unprecedented surge. The coin has rallied 99 million percent in only 12 months, and at one point this month was one of the 10 cryptocurrencies with the largest market cap. Coinbase did pretty well, too. The company’s shares are up 42% since the start of trading.
