New Online Horse Racing Betting App Announced By Caesars Sportsbook

Earlier this week, the company announces plans to launch a new app that will focus on horse racing wagers. New Racebook App Based on NYRA Platform

Indeed, the new app should be available to bettors at some point this spring. Just like when wagering on the betting app, bets on the new platform will earn bettors Caesars’ Rewards points. The platform will be based on NYRABets, the New York Racing Association’s advance-deposit betting application. Furthermore, the partnership with NYRABets will provide Ceasars Racebook with access to over 250 racetracks all over the world.

New York Racing Association also runs three racetracks in the Big Apple. These include Aqueduct Racetrack in New York City, Saratoga Race Course located upstate, and Belmont Park on Long Island. The Chief Development Officer of Ceasars, Dan Shapiro, said that partnering with NYRA delivers world-class horse-racing content, including the coverage from Ceasars-owned NY racetracks.

Ceasars is not New to Horse-Racing World

Caesars Sportsbook already has ties to the world of horse racing. The company is a subsidiary of Caesars Entertainment, the largest US-based casino operator and the owner of four racinos. The Ceasars properties include two Indiana racetracks – Harrah’s Hoosier Park in Anderson and Horseshoe Indianapolis in Shelbyville. They’re also the owners of Scioto Downs in Columbus, Ohio, and Harrah’s Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. The company has already announced plans to develop another Harrah’s-branded racetrack and casino on location in Columbus, Nebraska.

Strong Ties Between Ceasars and NYRA

Indeed, the new deal is only the expansion of the partnership between Ceasars and NYRA. A couple of months ago, the two of them establishes a relationship that made Ceasars an official being partner of the New York Racing Association. As a part of the deal, the Las Vegas-based company sponsors the NYRA’s Turf Triple Series.

Furthermore, one of the reasons behind the NYRA’s decision to partner up with Ceasars is the fact that the casino operator was one of the first to launch a mobile wagering app in NYC. CEO and President of NYRA, Dave O’Rourke, says that the new partnership will expand access to top tracks and bring more fans to horse racing. NYRA already has a similar agreement in place with BetMGM . Moreover, they are launching a racebook app based on the NYRA platform. Per NYRA’s statement, the new deal with Ceasars will not affect their relationship with BetMGM.

Integration of Horse Racing and Sport Betting

The entry into the world of racetrack wagering opens up a lot of new possibilities for Ceasars. The company’s official stated their intention to integrate horse racing betting with other forms of betting they already offer to their customers. The plan received plenty of support, among others from State Sen. Joseph Addabbo. The senator has applauded the initiative, saying that the wants people to be able to place both kinds of bets. A bill allowing sports betting kiosks on racetracks and off-track betting parlors has already been filed by the Senate Racing, Gaming, and Wagering Committee chairman.
