How Does Wynn Las Vegas Gear Up For January 2020 Poker Tournaments?

The first is The Wynn Signature Series poker tournaments. This year’s series kicks things off on Jan. 15. The entire event runs for almost three weeks. This is the first quality poker gaming option of the New Year, attracting the games best players.

The series will run through Feb. 2 with $1.3 million up for grabs in guaranteed prize money. The first event on Jan. 15 is the No-Limit Hold’em (NLH) $3K Survivor $100 Bounty. This tournament has a $400 buy-in and it is offering a $40,000 prize pool guarantee.

The next day, players have two events to choose from. The first is another NLH event with a much larger $150,000 prize pool. The other is the Limit Omaha 8/B. This event is offering $10,000 in guaranteed payouts.

$600 Buy-In With $200,000 In Guaranteed Payouts

The two most anticipated events on the schedule are NLH events starting Jan. 23. The first tournament has a $1000 buy-in with $400,000 in prize money. Once this event concludes, the next NLH tournament gets underway. This has a lower $600 buy-in with $200,000 in guaranteed payouts.

Adding to the excitement of this year’s Wynn Signature Series are Super Satellites. There is one in place for the $400,000 guaranteed NLH event. A Super Satellite will take place on Jan. 23 and 24. There is a buy-in of $175 plus $25. Furthermore, this is a lower-cost opportunity to gain entry into the main event.

The Wynn Signatures Series begins on the heels of the Wynn Winter Classic

The Winter Classic started on Dec. 2 leading up to the final day of competition on Dec. 22. That tournament series offered $2.8 million in guaranteed prize money. Wynn Las Vegas continues the process of separation from the company founder Steve Wynn. Wynn Resorts Limited will reportedly receive a settlement worth $41 million. This follows the resolution of a pair of lawsuits related to Wynn. They revolved around the alleged discretions of the former Chairman and CEO.

The lawsuits were originally filed by investors back in 2018. They claimed that the company’s stock valuation was harmed by Wynn’s actions. The 77-year old casino mogul denied claims of sexual misconduct including assault. He resigned from his position at that time but has consistently maintained his innocence. He sold all his interests in the casino to walk away with $2.14 billion.
