Florida Casino Bomb Threat Tied To $380 Loss Playing Slots

Being a sore loser was taken to extremes recently at a Florida Hard Rock casino. Local news sources with ties to PlaySlots4RealMoney.com relayed the story from earlier this month.

It appears that a slot player at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa falsely reported a bomb threat. This was related to that same player’s loss of $380 playing slots. Clearwater police arrested Adele Belizaire on Wednesday, May 12. The phone call making the threat was tied to her cell phone.

According to the arrest record in Pinellas County, the 54-year old woman placed the call to the casino around 9:30 p.m. (ET) Tuesday night. The call was traced back to the Seaside Inn and Suites where she was staying. She was quoted during the call as saying, “I left a bomb in your casino.”

Hard Rock casino workers reported the call to the Clearwater Police Department shortly past 9:30 p.m. The Seminole Police Department was instrumental in tracing the phone call back to the suspect in this case.

Blowing Off Steam

When arrested the next day, Ms. Belizaire admitted to making the call. She also stated that she was trying to “blow off steam” after the $380 loss. She was confirmed to be a member of the casino’s Players Club customer loyalty program.

In her original conversation with local police, she told them she was gambling at the casino. She also mentioned the loss of around $380. Deeper into the discussion, the suspect also stated that she did have anger issues that drove her to make the bomb threat.

Ms. Belizaire also admitted that she did not really have a bomb. She also stated that even if she did, there was no planned place to put it. She was simply mad about the loss of money and decided to make the threat.

A Terrorist Bomb Threat?

After being arrested, she was charged with a felony count of making a false report about a bomb. A background check revealed two “active non-extraditable warrants for terroristic bomb threats” on her record.

The Florida Seminole Tribe owns and operates the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino chain in the state. One of the casinos is in Hollywood on the East Coast of South Florida. Other locations include Daytona Beach and Tampa.

The bomb threat was called into the Tampa location which is near Clearwater.

That casino is located on 5223 Orient Road in the city of Tampa. The property is better known as Hard Rock Tampa. The formal name of the Players Club is the Seminole Wild Card. This is an extensive customer loyalty program. It rewards play at any Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in the state.

Members can earn special rates on hotel rooms and complimentary meals. The Wild Card offers different levels based on the volume of play.
