If you are not familiar with the movie “Jumanji,” it was originally released in 1995 and involves a youngster who wound up lost inside of a board game that was turned up by a couple of kids some years later.
This is a five-reel game, and it is symmetrical in the respect that the outside reels have only three symbols in them, while the reels just inside of them have four. And finally, the reel in the center has five symbols. So it takes on a shape that is somewhat different than you are used to seeing in a conventional slot game. Alas, there is very little that is conventional about this one. Let’s talk about paylines and payouts.
There are 36 paylines, and they are all activated by default. The lowest payouts will come with the playing card symbols, which are relatively standard – Jack, Queen, King and Ace. The higher payouts come with the Rhino, Crocodile and Pelican symbols (that’s all from the movie) and when the Lion appears, you’re doing the best of all. When he comes across a whole payline, you will receive a payoff that is 140 times your bet. Of course, there is also a golden “wild” symbol, and it will obviously be able to substitute for any other symbol (except for the scatter) to create winning situations for you.
Something called “Sticky Vines” creates a situation where you see vines literally wrap themselves around a winning combination, along with any wilds on the screen, while you go ahead and take a free spin. If you win, you do it again and so on. With “Monkey Mayhem,” you’ll see monkeys who switch around the symbols that show up on the reels so as to distribute them into a winning combination.
With the Monsoon Wild, you get a crocodile crawling across your screen. It’s not scary, but instead a great thing, because the croc will turn all the symbols on the reels he traverses into wilds.
Rhinos in the Wild Stampede” is wild and woolly indeed, as a bunch of rhinoceroses run rampant, turning regular symbols into wilds. All of these bonus features are randomly triggered.
Scatter symbols are effective toward putting you into some extras, so you will want to be on the lookout for the Jumanji Box. When you get three or more on any spin, you get to go right into a mini-version of the Jumanji board game. Then you get to roll the dice up to eight times, depending on how many scatters you got, and move your token about the board, with wins along the way.
There are also free spins games – five, six, seven or ten, depending on how many scatters got you there. The Mystery free spins feature can wind up especially satisfying.
This is not necessarily a “low-roller” game, since you can’t pick the number of paylines that are activated (as mentioned, all of them are active by default). Still, it’s a terrific experience and stays very faithful to the film. And with the technology provided through Net Entertainment, it’s easy to to take part, whether you are on your computer, tablet or smartphone. So have at it!
