Online Casino News reveals that the construction of the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is ahead of schedule and is expected to open its doors on early 2017. According to a report by the general manager of the Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady, Mary Cheeks, the opening date is around the corner as the Rush Street Gaming is ahead of schedule. The manager made an announcement that the casino will officially open on February 8, 2017. It will open a few days after the anniversary of its groundbreaking, which will be held on February 3, 2016.
The contractor said that the Resort is already under construction that they aim at completing the construction within the least time possible. They aim at handing over the project to the management for opening within the least time possible, assuming weather cooperates. Many Rush Street Gaming officials, as well as representatives from the Galesi Group, joined the groundbreaking of the Casino Resort.
The $330 million Rivers New York Casino is developed in a joint venture between Rush Street and Galesi. It is developed in a 60-acre on the old Alco site off the Erie Boulevard Road. The property will feature an entertainment lounge, a day spa, a marketplace, hundreds of slot machines, events center, a hotel, and a large steak house restaurant. The CEO of Galesi Group, David Buicko said that the project is not just about Casino but more of a regional asset. It is the largest project developed in the New York State as a whole. It brings a new lifestyle to the City as it includes a place where people will eat, sleep, gamble, live, play, boat and work.
Gary McCarthy, who is the mayor of Schenectady, reveal that Schenectady is now at the top and most other areas now looks at Schenectady to see how things are done.
