The 2021 World Series of Poker Online Summer Schedule Starts on July 1
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has shifted much of its tournament activity online since the coronavirus outbreak. Just about all of last year’s events took place online. Looking ahead to this year’s summer lineup, 33 gold bracelet events are on the online slate.

The 2021 online summer schedule was recently released. It begins on July 1 and runs through Aug. 1 on WSOP.com.

Ty Stewart is the Executive Director for WSOP. He added the following comments as part of an official company release:

“Poker deserves a big finish to 2021. And we’re looking to heat things up this summer. We expect to offer great value tournaments as well as comprehensive satellites to qualify for Las Vegas in the fall.”

The 2021 summer lineup of WSOP Online offers events with buy-ins starting at $333. This figures goes all the way up to $7,777 for the No Limit Lucky 7’s High Roller scheduled for July 25.

The Main Event for the summer series will take place on July 31. This is the $1000 No Limit Hold’em Championship. The final event for the summer online series is the $500 NLHE Grande Finale. This offers a $1 million guarantee. That is the largest guaranteed payout offered through the WSOP online poker series.

The WSOP has gained a reputation for creatively branding all of its events. This year’s online summer series schedule has been broken down into specifically themed weeks.

Premier Week gets things underway with the $500 NLHE Big 500 Kick Off on July 1. Next up is the Lucky Sevens $777 NLHE on July 7. Over the years, this has grown to become one of the most popular poker tournaments.

To heighten that week’s online action, WSOP will also run the Crazy Eights $888 NLHE Tournament on July 8.

Moving to the middle of July, Micro Madness takes center stage. This week features a string of four NLHE gold bracelet events with a buy-in of $500 or less. The following week has been reserved for Pot Limit Omaha events. PLO Week will be made up of three featured Pot Limit Omaha Tournaments.

Everything draws to a close during Championship Week starting on Monday, July 26. The first event is the inaugural $1000 Online PLO Championship.

This will be the fourth and final PLO event in this year’s summer series.

On July 27, WSOP will run its $3,200 Higher Roller Championship. Championship Week also contains the $1000 No Limit Hold’em Championship as previously mentioned.

Players who are registered in Nevada and New Jersey are eligible to take part in all of these events. The series is open to any poker player of legal age. However, you need to physically be located in one of those two states to participate.

Two other states were WSOP operates online are Pennsylvania and Michigan. WSOP did mention that any additional states are dependent on pending regulatory approval. Plans are also underway for an international WSOP event.
