Unfortunately, it appears that a large part of the Hard Rock Hotel collapsed. The Hard Rock borders the French Quarters, and experts speculate there is even more damage. According to Mayor LaToya Cantrell, one hundred twelve people were on the construction site when the hotel collapsed.

Missing Workers Are Rescued

The good news is that first responders rescued the missing workers. Unfortunately, two people died in that accident. Our condolences go out to their family and friends. The fire department deploys a crane to help keep the rest of the structure stable. According to The New Orleans’ Fire Chief Timothy McConnell, there was a “major collapse.” EMS crews on the scene transported 18 of the injured parties to a local hospital. Additionally, The Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards chimes in. He says, “we’re praying for the individuals who remain unaccounted for.”

The Resorts World Casino Will Come To Las Vegas In 2020

In the next story, we discuss some brighter things. For example, the Las Vegas Strip will be getting a new casino in 2020. That’s right, Resorts World casino will be coming to Nevada in 2020. With over seven years of work, it appears that company officials are confident that the work will be completed by next year.

Genting Berhad, who is a Malaysian conglomerate, is the owner of the eighty-seven acres of land. Furthermore, he purchases this land in 2013 for three hundred fifty million dollars. Shortly after, he comes out with plans to make a huge Asian casino. That said, there have been tons of delays for many reasons. When this resort opens, it will have fifty-nine floors with three thousand four hundred luxury hotel rooms.
