A “Bad Beat” Leads to $217,000 Win in Las Vegas
It hard to imagine losing a poker hand with four eights. However, that is exactly what happened to one Las Vegas player. The winning hand at Station Casino was an eight-high straight flush. Because of the progressive nature of the game, both players still won big. The four eights were still worth $75,928. All the players at that table won $1,356. All the poker players across Station Casino poker rooms playing at the time pocketed $557 each.

Each of the players with the original hands chose to remain anonymous following the win.

Interestingly enough, the winning hand only won $43,387. This is when it pays to play progressive jackpot tables with added side bets. It can act as a hedge against a possible ‘bad beat’ such as this.

With Las Vegas getting back to normal these days, big wins across the entire town are much more common. News sources close to PlaySlots4RealMoney.com have made note of a few of the bigger jackpot hits in June.

A player only known as Renato was playing slots at Aliante Casino. After hitting the $10,800 jackpot, he took a break to call his family. What made the story rather incredible was his luck at this particular slot machine. This was the second time he landed a big jackpot at this progressive slot. Winning twice on one machine is when you know Lady Luck is on your side.

He was pictured in a casino Twitter post holding the oversized check for $10,800. The actual tweet read:

“Renato immediately called his family to share the news that he had just won this $10,000 jackpot. They were just as excited for him! This is the second time Renato has hit big on this same exact machine. It is officially one of his favorites!”

Another poker player walked away with a $24,376 progressive jackpot after drawing a royal flush. Also at Aliante Casino, the tweet that went out was:

“Last night, an anonymous guest won a huge jackpot with a Royal Flush! The jackpot alone paid $19,376 for a $1 bet. All included, we hand paid the lucky guest a total of $24,376! Sweet win!”

The winning hand of Ace-high diamonds was pictured in the tweet as well.

Over at Binion’s in the downtown area of Las Vegas, one big winner hit $20,765.48 on the Wicked Wheel. This was the Grand Prize jackpot amount on the progressive machine.

A lucky couple playing at California Casino earned a $17,000 Keno hit. The casino quickly tweeted out the following:

“Couples that win together, celebrate together! Vernon turned his $1 bet into a $10,000 payday after hitting 8 out of 8 playing keno. Nadine’s 7 out of 7 x2 landed her a sweet $7,0001 jackpot.”

The couple had their picture taken holding a pair of oversized checks in the keno parlor.

Four aces on a video poker machine at California Casino added up to a $10,000 win. Another jackpot at Fremont totaled ten grand.
